Sharing With Sharyn . . .
“Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot
be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may
offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and
awe; for our God is a consuming fire”
(Hebrews 12:28-29, NABS).
Precious Ones, gratitude greetings to you in the name of His Majesty!
Thank you for the honor and privilege of sharing “good news” with you! On Thursday, November 27th, Americans will celebrate another “Happy Thanksgiving Day! Our thoughts and actions many times turn to gathering, “sharing the love”, with our loved ones around bountiful tables filled with turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes with marshallows, green bean casseroles, gelatin salads, cranberry sauces, hot rolls, pumpkin pies, and a host of other delicious foods and desserts. I believe if we are honest we would all say we have an attitude of “looking forward” to this special day. After all, it is a long-standing American tradition, is it not? Sure, it is, and there are some traditions we simply don’t want to let go of or do away with. It is our American heritage.
When I was thinking about what I wanted to share with you for this “special day and season”, God dropped the word “gratitude” into my heart. I then looked up the actual definition in Webster’s and here’s what I found. Gratitude means “thankful, a feeling of thankful appreciation for favors received; thankfulness.” From that point on I knew I was on a journey and I wanted you to travel with me. As we travel I would like to ask you to be thinking about what you are grateful for – thankful for.
(1) I am grateful – thankful for the Word of God
“Forever O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven” (Psalm 118:89).
“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us” (II Cor. 1:20).
(2) I am grateful – thankful for God, The Father
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
“After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name (Matthew 6:9).
“For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!" (Romans 8:14-15).
(3) I am grateful – thankful for Jesus
“And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt” (Mark 14:36).
“And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it” (Colossians 2:15).
(4) I am grateful – thankful for the Holy Spirit
“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:4).
“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought; but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered” (Romans 8:26).
(5) I am grateful – thankful for the love of God
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come. Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, 8:38-39).
(6) I am grateful – thankful for grace
“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God “ (Eph. 2:8).
(7) I am grateful – thankful for forgiveness
“Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots” (Luke 23:34).
“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses (Matthew 6:14-15).
(8) I am grateful – thankful for the love of the Body of Christ
“A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:34-35).
Precious Ones, as I have shared these all-important truths for which I am grateful for – thankful for, and we have walked this journey together, it is my prayer you have been encouraged and edified in your walk with His Majesty. For sure, Thanksgiving Day Dinner and all the festivities will pass away, but Precious Ones, what I have shared with you today will not pass away. Each truth I have shared with you should help you to know how secure and “unshaken” you can be as you walk in Oneness on your individual “journey-walk” with His Majesty! Let’s be grateful – let’s be thankful and express our gratitude - our thankfulness as a priority to our Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit for all that has been bestowed upon us. This is our rich spiritual heritage. Amen.
His Majesty’s goodness is active and alive in 2025! Precious Ones, His Majesty loves you! See you in the Spirit . . . Have a blessed Thanksgiving Season from the heart of His Majesty!
Love, thanksgiving, gratitute, unity, shalom
