Rosh Hashanah 5780

by Sharyn Culp
Inspired by Holy Spirit

Let's celebrate! We would like to invite you to join us in the Spirit in celebration of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year 5780. This awesome feast celebration begins on the evening of Sunday, September 29 and ends on the evening of Tuesday, October 1. The biblical name for this holiday is Yom Teruah (Hebrew), literally "day of shouting/blasting", as the Feast Of Trumpets. There are many scripture references to trumpets being sounded and we will be referencing some of them later in this writing but for now, we would like to share our hearts with you as to what it means for us all to participate in Rosh Hashanah HMM corporately. Each year, we look forward to blowing the shofar - trumpet at the beginning of the Celebration and then participating in exciting, exuberant praise and worship believing God is taking us all to a higher level in and with Him, leaving the past behind along all the debris with which the enemy has thrown at us from many directions in an attempt to derail us and take us out of the "faith-fight". As we celebrate Rosh Hashanah, we are saying here at HMM  "No, no, no, Satan. That won't work. We have a God in heaven who is more powerful, much more mighty, bigger, better and more everything than you, Satan. You are a defeated foe in HMM, worldwide and in all our lives in Jesus' name.Ã??Ã? Amen.

We believe this is such a pivotal Celebration of praise and worship unto His Majesty expressing to Him we are expecting His return, asking Him to awaken us and if there is any area of our lives we need to repent of for Him to speak to us in an intimate way and give us a "spiritual tune-up". We need to be in preparation and expectation of His soon return for us! This is not a time for us to be lukewarm or entertain apathy. King's Kids, this is an intimate time to self-examine ourselves and ask ourselves, "Is my life right, am I treating my family right, am I spending my money wisely, am I witnessing to my loved ones and others, am I fasting and praying, am I faithful to return my tithe, give first fruits and other offerings, am I diligent in my calling to my ministry, church or marketplace placement, does my life glorify Jesus, am I completely ready for Jesus to return?" We believe as we truly, deliberately celebrate Rosh Hashanah, blowing the shofar, entering into intimate, heartfelt, exuberant praise and worship allowing Holy Spirit to examine our hearts and with self-examination, repenting and drawing nigh, closer and closer to the heart of His Majesty, this will be an "over the top" "glory-filled" well-invested time spent with the Lord. We would like to share that at the end of our Celebration we will be praying the Prayer of Agreement, partaking of Holy Communion sealing all that has been accomplished worldwide by His Majesty with the blood of Jesus for HMM, all the HMM Worldwide Prayer Sanctuary Intercessors and everyone praying with us and for us during this special set-aside time of Celebration. We will also enjoy eating apples dipped in honey to evoke a "sweet new year"! Amen.

For your edification and reference we have shared some scripture references below relating to Rosh Hashanah and times when the "shofar - trumpet" was blown in times past and will be blown in the future. These scriptures are not in any way inclusive. Many more could be referenced and extensive teachings could be taught but these are the priceless nuggets of truth we felt to share with you this Jewish New Year 5780. You may want to view this teaching as a Bible study as you partake of these treasures and search other scripture references for yourself as Holy Spirit leads you.

According to Judaism, the fact that Rosh Hashanah is the beginning of the year is explained by it being the traditional anniversary of the creation of Adam and Eve, the first man and woman according to the Hebrew Bible, and their first actions toward the believed realization of humanity's role in God's world.

Genesis 2:21-25 (KJV)
21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Exodus 19:16-25 (KJV)
16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.
17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.
18 And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.
19 And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice.
20 And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.
21 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish.
22 And let the priests also, which come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves, lest the LORD break forth upon them.
23 And Moses said unto the LORD, The people cannot come up to mount Sinai: for thou chargedst us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it.
24 And the LORD said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the LORD, lest he break forth upon them.
25 So Moses went down unto the people, and spake unto them.

Leviticus 23:23-32 (KJV)
23 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.
25 Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
26 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
28 And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God.
29 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.
30 And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.
31 Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
32 It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.

Numbers 29:1 (KJV)
1 And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you.

Revelation 1:10-11 (KJV)
10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

Revelation 4:1 (KJV)
1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

Revelation 8:5-6 (KJV)
5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

1 Corinthians 15:51-58 (KJV)
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 (KJV)
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

1 Kings 8:10-11 (KJV)
10 And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD,
11 So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! We pray you enjoy celebrating Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year 5780 with His Majesty, the HMM Worldwide Prayer Sanctuary Intercessors, our families, friends, and our Kingdom family worldwide. Amen.
